À la mémoire de
Melvin Lemieux
01 mai 1946 – 16 octobre 2020 - 74 ans
In loving memory of Melvin Lemieux of Barachois, Quebec.
May 1st, 1946 – October 16th, 2020.

Our brother passed away at Monseigneur Ross, Gaspé, October 16th, at the age of 74 years old, after struggling through a battle with cancer.

Melvin leaves behind to mourn his brothers: Roderick, Gilles, Bruno, Osmund, and sisters: Terrie, Donna, Greta, Della and Ann, nephews and friends.

He was blessed to have some very special people in his life to help him along the way: Carol and Vernon Annett, Clarence Lemieux, Sister Margaret, Father Cotton, Patricia and Rocky Annett, Kathleen and Stephanie Bond, Debbie Girard, Marie-Pierre Synnott, and many who took time to pray or visit with him during his trying days.

A special thank you to Mona Rehel, who has been a good friend since moving back home, and for her uncompromised dedication to Melvin during his final weeks.
Thank you to the staff of the Hôpital Gaspé, CLSC, and Monseigneur Ross.
Thank you all for being part of our brother’s life.

Melvin had a favorite prayer. Here, we share in the final verse:
“… I live alone Dear Lord, yet have no fear,
Because I feel your presence ever near. “

There will be a service held at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Barachois, to be announced at a later date.

Our Sincere Condolences to Melvin family and friends,
We met Melvin, 3 years ago, being a beautiful soul, accepting us in his life as friends. Melvin shared a part of his life by expressing his feeling, his great humor and laugh. Melvin always loved talking about airplanes and their mechanical functions which he had a great knowledge on the subject. Melvin also loved playing his harmonica for the ones he likes.
We will miss him greatly and May our brother rest in peace.

All my sympathy to the family. Melvin was a gentle soul and well-loved by his community, who cared for him. It's not fair that he suffered in the end. He will be remembered kindly by people who knew him. I hadn't seen Melvin since our school days, but I do remember him as a hard worker and a kind person. May he rest in peace!
